Camera connection to minimosd and 3DR radio

I am going to run Skywalker 1800 with APM 2.6, minimosd, 3DR radio and 12v camera. The minim osd and 3DR are on y lead (out of the 5 volt end of minimosd). I cant see how the 12 volt camera links up to this setup - I see the minim osd 12 v rail and the cam connection (pos, neg and signal), but where does the output to 3dr tx occur (as the 3DR is already on the y lead)?

I’m not sure what your y lead looks like.

If you want to use OSD and radio telemetry in parallel, you need to connect GND and 5V from the APM to the MinimOSD board and the radio module, the APM output goes to RX on OSD and on the Radio, and the TX port from the radio goes back to the APM input. TX port on the OSD is not connected in this case. The OSD is only listening (on RX), but the telemetry can talk back to the APM (via TX). There is no point in connecting OSD TX with radio TX.

See code.google.com/p/arducam-osd/w … tart_minim

They say “XBee”, but the same goes for 3DR radio.

Hope that helps.

Claus

Here you can see the manual of the video/osd kit as a reference:

The video transmitter has a 12V output and when it is connected to the minimOSD, those 12V from the video tx, supply the power to the 12V camera.
