Bluejay and arducopter esc calibration

I have noticed that esc calibration does not work well with bluejay. It does not do the esc sounds that blheli did. After fiddeling it is possible to somehow do it, but it is never possible to replicate.

Im just wondering is it just me, or is there something else behind it

The reason to use Bluejay is so you can run Dshot/Bdshot which do not require calibration.

Yes, but for some reason after flashing the motors there is no signal going to the motors. Only after doing the esc calibration and waiting for like 2-3 minutes the esc will get the signal

Have you tried setting them up for dshot?

Yea, as @prsh8ya suggests this is usually a configuration error problem. There are a few parameters to set correctly. Use the Bdshot version of firmware for your Flight Controller and configure for Bdshot.

If you have dshot capable esc’s then you want to use that feature.

It will help with tuning and give you data that you need for tuning etc.

got it solved. Thanks!

What did you figure out?
