I’m preparing to replace the PWM control of my gimbal to MavLink.
I’m using the ADSB-IN carrier board - and there aren’t too many free ports. GPS1 and GPS2 are both free - and using the following link as a reference, it looks like GPS2 is the best option - addressing it as serial4 in the parameters.
Do I have this about right? I’d appreciate guidance if I have this wrong.
Any available serial port will work as long as you get the connection and parameter settings correct. All the variant boards follow a similar design guideline so yeah you got that correct, GPS2 in your board is Serial 4. Even if you get the different ports, it’s very easy to change the SERIALx_ parameters without the need to replug the cable.
