Best reference on how to parse BIN file

I’m starting a project that will most likely require parsing BIN files.

I’ve found a past thread that offered this code as a reference:

Does anyone know if this code is up to date - or if there are additional resources?

Also - I expect the BIN file format changes as new firmware releases roll out. I’m curious how backwards compatibility is maintained.

The file is mostly self contained, and that is what makes that the parser can adapt to changes.

Yes that is a good parser, actively used and maintained
