Long time ardupilot/mission planner user but having some issues with a ground vehicle that’s using Ardurover 4.5.7
A little background:
Autopilot: CUAV X7+
PDB: CPBD Pro
Battery: Automobile 12v lead acid
I want my ground vehicle to go into hold mode when the battery drops under 12.2V. Which it is doing. My issue is that when I change modes back to manual and make the battery drop below 12.2 again, it wont go back into a battery failsafe hold no matter how low the battery gets. How come it will only battery failsafe once into hold mode and not again until I power cycle the autopilot?
It just never leaves the failsafe. Pilot/driver can override any failsafe by switching the vehicle back to operating mode (one that is available at that time as certain fail conditions may make some modes unavailable).
To clear the battery failsafe you have to disarm and reset the battery using an appropriate command in Mission Planner (which tells Ardupilot that you have put in a fresh battery in).
