Basic question about MLRS linking order (EdgeTX + Mission Planner)

Hey everyone. I’m trying to understand how MLRS is typically set up. Does MLRS provide both the control link for my EdgeTX radio and a telemetry link for Mission Planner at the same time?

And what’s the actual connection order? Does the MLRS TX go into the JR bay on the back of my EdgeTX radio? Does the laptop or tablet running Mission Planner then connect to the EdgeTX radio somehow?

My current understanding:

Flight Controller <–UART–> MLRS RX Module <–900MHz RF link–> MLRS TX Module in JR Bay of EdgeTX radio/controller ← Some sort of serial link?? → Mission Planner on Laptop or Tablet?

Is this correct, or am I mixing up how to set things up to get both control and Mission Planner?

I have a Radiomaster Nomad module on MLRS. It is plugged into the back of my TX16S. The radio looks like normal with Yaapu running and all my control links. For the telemetry you can connect it to mission planner one of two ways. You can set it up to create a local wifi hotspot that I can join with my laptop and then connect to Mission Planner. Or if you want, you can use the USB port on the Nomad to connect the laptop. You need to set in the MLRS configuration if you’re going to use wifi or USB. You can change it but I didn’t find it convenient to switch back and forth.
