Autotune vs Quick tune wind or no wind understanding

I wanted to bring up this discussion about wind vs no wind with each of these.

I have read that Autotune needs to be ran with little wind as possible, but I also read that quick needs wind to provide best results. I just read on another fourm post that auto tune give great results even in windy conditions.

I am no dev, my brain tells me that auto tune in a windy condition would push the drone and cause it to have params needed for all conditions.

Yes I have read the tuning documentation.

I am just bringing this up for better understanding.

In very layman’s terms:

Quiktune relies on external disturbance to tune against. Run it outdoors in light wind conditions.

Autotune provides its own, known disturbance (twitch) against which to tune. Run it in the calmest environment practical.

@Yuri_Rage That is a good and simple explanation, that I hope even beginners will understand.

I will add that to the AMC tuning guide if you do not mind.
