Autotune not showing as selected mode

Hi
I am trying to use the auto tune function for the first time using a pixhawk.
I have set up Altitude hold on channel 5 and have set up a switch on channel 7 to initiate Autotune.

When I initiate Altitude hold and then Autotune it does not show as a mode change at all and I cannot see any reason for it not to show as I have used the tx switch on channel 7 for other functions. I have not tried a live test yet.
Is there something I am missing here?

And on MP it won’t show a mode change. It will (if armed and flying) show in the hud “Autotune:Started” IIRC.
