I have tried to set up my flight modes, on a 3 way switch, that works when programmed, but, when put in AUTO it always reverts to RTL. When looking in the parameters, it shows “10” which is AUTO. So, when I cycle through the flight modes, it continues to revert to RTL. If I move it to other flight modes it’s fine and sees that flight mode. This only happens in AUTO. Any ideas other that loading ROVER then reloading PLANE ?
It’s likely failsafing. Look at the messages displayed on a connected GCS.
Do you have a mission loaded? Plane will RTL after completing a mission.
This is just bench testing everything, connected to GCS.
If you have a Mission saved and you have armed it it will switch to Auto. If there is no Mission saved in the message screenit will say “Mission complete changing mode to RTL” immediately as @LupusTheCanine said.
There is no issue here, the post title is misleading, move on.

Ok, that’s what it is. Copter isn’t like that. So,.I apologize for.the title of the post. I assumed the platform would be the same across the board. Happy flying, and thanks again !
