Hi
I’m setting up a 450 heli with a new pixhark. I’m having trouble trying to get it to ARM.I’ve gone through all the setups and set the swash. On startup all loads OK into mission planner, No errors showing. Press safty button and get solid red LED. Hold throttle hard right, but not arming. If I go into actions on flight screen and press Arm/Disarm button then system arms. Throttle and swash appear to work OK.
Does anybody know how to check if all the sensors are working to find out what is stopping it from arming?
Hi OAPpilot,
If should be able to see errors messages in the mission planner HUD, double check that your radio maybe a channel is reversed.
HI RogelioN
Nothing showing the hud. GPS shows No-Fix. As I want to do my testing in a large hall where I will not be able to get a fix anyway. Taking the Heli outside I’m getting 8 Sats.
All radio servo’s are running the correct way, as I’ve set the Swash and Pitch up.
What mode are you in when you’re trying to arm?
Which Mode. Sticks are in Mode 2. And I hold throttle stick hard right, zero open
I think Rob_Lefebvre is referring to the flight mode, you only can arm in Stabilize or Acro
Yeah, which flight mode. I wonder if you’re trying to arm in Loiter mode, without a GPS lock. It won’t let you do that.
All those modes are still set at Stabilise. While trying to solve this problem, On rebooting I get the start up Music then a long tone, and then nothing works. after a few hours It boots up OK. I’ve tried to reset the board, Mavlink loads in Mission Planner, but nothing works in the HUD.
Hmmm… then I have no idea. You might try taking this to the general Arducopter or Pixhawk hardware area. I don’t think this is TradHeli specific.
A lot of my problems were caused by the SD micro card. I 've now updated to Ver 3.1.1 which seems to have sorted that out.
The problem with not arming, was the low throttle reading was lower than the fail safe one. once adjusted it works OK now.
Thanks for your help, all of you
