Arducopter 4.1.0 Optional hardware / camera gimbal problem

Hi everybody. I have a problem with copter firmware 4.1.0 on Pixhawk 2.4.8 (confirmed on 3 different devices). When I upgrade from 4.0.7 to 4.1.0, I can no more define my gimbal. Most of the items in the menus are greyed out and when I try to set the different variables manually in the full parameter list, some parameters seem not to exist (anymore). mnt_type for example. When going back to 4.0.7, everything works fine again. Mission planner 1.3.75.
Any help will greatly be appreciated. Ben

Are you regularly updating MP to latest Beta?

I did now for the first time, no help. Do you think this is a problem of mission planner?

I can reproduce this with a Kakute F7 with only 1M flash. Mount parameters available on 4.0.7 but feature limited out on 4.1.0. I’m sure I could use the Custom Build Server to enable them.

This is odd though for those 2.4.8’s because AFAIK they have 2M flash. What actual version of Copter are you running (Pixhawk1, FMUVx)? In the messages screen what does it say here like this example:

25-Oct-21 03:04:46 PM : Pixhawk1-1M 001C0022 33334701 31313533

25.10.2021 22:07:34 : Frame: QUAD
25.10.2021 22:07:34 : RCOut: PWM:1-12
25.10.2021 22:07:34 : fmuv2 0030003F 34355108 32363234
25.10.2021 22:07:34 : ChibiOS: d4fce84e
25.10.2021 22:07:34 : ArduCopter V4.0.7 (0bb18a15)

More about Pixhawk I do not find. It’s a Pixhawk1 2.4.8. Where can I find more information

Try loading the Pixhawk1 V4.1.0 firmware not FMUV2. It’s the proper firmware target for that Flight Controller. From All Options:

Thank you very much for your help. It works. I do not know how I got to fmuv2. Thank you.
Ben

It was being recognized as a 1Mb flash Pixhawk with that target and feature limiting as a result. I have an actual 1Mb flash Pixhawk and have seen this before :grinning:
