Hello there,
I am building my first drone using an apm fc version 2.8 and i have succesfully uploaded a firmware through the mission planner software. I have also calibrated my radio and compass but i get stuck at the sensors calibration. When i start the accelerometer calibration it asks me to put the drone in level position and click done and when i do so the software seems to freeze for a few seconds and then it gives me a message that calibration FAILED. Anyone run to this issue before? Is there anything i can try to resolve it ? Can it be a hardware failure? Is there any kind of logger or smth like a logger that records all the background actions that get done during calibration that i can check to find out what goes wrong?
I think you will need to use a very old MissionPlanner version from when that prehistoric hardware was supported.
The best idea is buy a supported flight controller before you waste too much more time.
It should be illegal for all those cheap chinese online shops to keep selling those APM units, but I guess someone made millions of those APMs for almost nothing, so every unit sold is non-refundable profit.
Any recomendations on flight controllers that are newer and compatible with mission planner?
Hello,i don’t know much in mission planner and APM 2.8 ardupcoter .inwant to know please which mission planner version can i use which is compatible with APM 2.8 ardupcoter flight controller ?
A very old one. Go here and page down to V3.2.1 and note the release date. Then pick a version of mission planner from shortly after that date
Changelog
Or, throw that relic in the bin and get a flight controller that is currently supported.
Please stop double posting, especially to dredge up old topics regarding unsupported hardware.
@Paul_Nkulu I already answered this in the other thread. Do not double post.
You really, really need to read the posts in the unsupported hardware section of the forum.
