APM 2.6 No Mavlink Connection Solved

This may be an old problem, and it may be a common problem, but the solution was useful to me. I flashed my 32U2 for sbus, then I couldn’t connect to mavlink anymore. Turns out, the 3.3 volt regulator opened up. I don’t know if the flash had anything to do with it or not. I desoldered the chip, and put a wire on the 3.3 volt terminal (upper left) and supplied 3.3 volts. It started working fine again. 3 diode drops from +5V also works for 3.3V supply if you are fresh out of surface mount regulators. like I said, this is old and most have moved on to pixhawk by now, but maybe someone has a unit set aside waiting to be fixed.
Thanks

I believe I am having the same problem. Could you please check my post rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2517082. If you did experience the same problem, could you give me a detailed description of how you solved it.
