APM 1.0 and gps jD_MTEK_v2.0 Can't get fix

I got a APM 1.0 and a jDrones GPS jD_MTEK_v2.0 and I can’t de any GPS info in Mission Planner Mav 1.2.80.
Are they compatible?

What version of the Ardupilot firmware are you using?
I have used the MediaTek V2.0 with an APM1.4. However I found the MediaTek V2.0, even with the latest v1.9 firware, to be inferior to the uBlox LEA-6. With the LEA-6 I can get at least 7 sats indoors on a cloudy day and up to 11 sats indoors on a clear day.

When I try the ArduPlane V2.74b, I got “Firmware is to big for 1280, Please upgrade your hardware!!”. So I’m usin the V2.74.

At the moment, I don’t have other GPS available. :frowning:

I don’t know how to update de GPS firmware and I don’t know if this is could be the problem.
