Description: AP OpenAI Team Account Trial for up to 5 users for 1 year

We’d like to try the OpenAI Team account which allows AP to fund individual dev team member’s monthly ChatGPT costs. This will be useful for improving the efficiency of our wiki development but also potentially for GSoC students

The cost is $30 / user / month

We will start with just 1 or 2 users but expand it if it turns out to be useful.

Of course many dev team members already have their own private ChatGPT accounts and we’re not suggesting that AP will start paying for all of those.

Planned amount $$ (USD): up to $1800

Estimated time for completion: 1 year

I use Cursor AI quite a bit. I find it very helpful at times (and wildly wrong at others…). I also find that the Claude models tend to work a little better for me, but it’s nice to have a choice between several.

So while I’m not asking you to pay for my own usage, I’ll suggest that a single LLM subscription may not be the most useful spending for the case at hand.

if you have a GPU you should look at LM studio on windows or ollama on linux, its a bit slow if you dont have a high end gpu but its still usable.

I use GitHub Copilot for free with Claude Sonnet 3.7 and 4 models within VS code.

I used to pay for it, but Microsoft found out that I use it for ArduPilot, and offered my money back.

FYI I’ve corrected an inconsistency in the title vs the description. The title said “2” users but the description said “5”. The signed off amount (up to 1800) is enough to cover 5 users so I’ve updated the title to 5
