Hello my new build 650mm quad oscillating when althold mode up/down. I have rangefinder but disabled same problem. I have no vibration and my barometer isolated foam and box. I am tuned filter setting. Stabilize mode flys good mid throotle .What is wrong ?
My gear
Motors; Sunnysky v3508 380kv
Propellers; Carbon fiber 1455
Fc; Matek h743 slim
Battery; 4s3p Molicel p28a
Gps; Bn880
This is a tuning log full of massive output oscillation. Provide a log of a normal flight.
thanks for help
This craft is underpowered/overloaded. And clearly the tune you have is bad.
I would suggest resetting to default and use the ArduPilot Methodic Configurator to configure and tune it after correcting this.
If the information in eCalc is correct and it will really have a Motor @ Hover Throttle linear of 50% then yes it should correct the thrust/weight problem.
@dkemxr Hello, I changed the batteries to 6s and reset the default parameters. It flies well in alt hold and loiter mode. But I need help setting the harmonic notch filter. There is a bump at 47 hz and I couldn’t get rid of it. Can you examine the log file with the filter tool? I want to use INS_HNTCH_MODE = 3.
It’s not in a state of tune to configure the notch filter, there is oscillation on the outputs. On the + side it now has sufficient thrust/weight. You can piece away at the tuning with the standard process of lowering the Rate PID’s and correctly setting the vertical accleration controller gains if you know what you are doing. Or, use the Methodic Configurator
Hello, I made a few changes to my settings. Updated log after quicktune and autotune.
Use this…
I set it according to the methodic configurator, but there is not enough information about the post-setting evaluation here. I already know that the bad setting is felt while flying. But I can’t understand how to distinguish the difference between good and perfect settings in flight.
I can’t believe that the Methodic Configurator had you configuring the Notch filter for 1-5 harmonics. “check all the boxes” is not what you want here. Uncheck all but the 1st and run Auto Tune again.
If you used the ArduPilot methodic configurator, post a .zip
file with the vehicle configuration directory contents. Then we can take a look at what you did wrong, otherwise we can only speculate.
And like @dkemxr said, you are not supposed to check all boxes. You are supposed to read and understand the documentation before changing the parameters.
