AliExpress & Canada Purchasing

How trustworthy is it buying parts from AliExpress? Like is there certain parts that are fine to buy off there but others that I shouldn’t even consider buying off there, regardless of the reviews?

Is there also any Canadian-specific stores that anyone could recommend, or is it worth it just ordering from some of the big US names and paying the import taxes.

Rotor Village is a Canadian store I have bought from on occasion for import into the USA when one of the domestic retailers didn’t have what I was looking for. Rare occasion where I have to buy drone components from China but I have had no problem with Aliexpress when I have.

AliExpress does work in Canada. I have co-workers who use it.

Rotorgeeks.

EpicFPV / DroneDynamics.

RotorVillage

RotorQuest (more heli focused but worth a look for some parts)

YYCDrones (focused mostly on whoops, but they have a range of other parts too)

I have ordered tons of parts from the US in the past, but recently I’ve found most of the Canadian retailers have upped their game and I’ve been able to get nearly everything within the country.

I forgot about Rotorgeeks, I have ordered from them too.

Shipping to Canada can be a bit troublesome, be prepared to pay the odd import fee.

The above sellers are all great to use!

For more hard to find parts you can try IRLock or ALHPA RC (Tarot parts) in the USA.

I have also ordered from SIYI and XFRobot directly without issues.

Thank you!

Thanks, will have a look at those. Curious to know if import taxes apply for AliExpress as well or just the US?
