Airspeed Malfunction

I am encountering a strange problem with my airspeed sensor. My setup is a pixhawk orange cube with an i2c-MS4525DO airspeed sensor.

I tried calibrating the arspd_ratio while circling for a couple of minutes during 5m/s of steady wind. When I read the log I got those weird drops of the airspeed which seem almost periodic.

I know that it is not the airspeed sensor itself on its own (most likely). Since during a test setup the i2c values were correct and no drops occured. However in combination with my plane setup during flight i get these drops.

Preflight calibration was done. And also on the ground i sometimes get unusual high “AS” values which can go up to 5m/s. Most of them are somwhere inbetween 0 and 3m/s tough.

Has anyone encountered this problem and has a solution?

My next step would be switching to a CAN airspeed sensor if there is no other solution.

Thanks in advance for any hints and help!

Could you please post a log file and a photo showing how the sensor is mounted?

Rolf

Sure. The Log is available on SwissTransfer (SwissTransfer - Send large files securely and free of charge**).**

Unfortunately i can’t show the mounting better. But it is mounted on the same 3D printed part as the AP.

I suspect interference in the I2C transmission because the temperature reading is failing also. The sensor may be defective, or there may be interference on the line or at the FC.
