Airmode via Lua

I see that I can set an RCx_OPTION to ArmDisarm or ArmDisarm with AirMode. I want to use ArmDisarm (i.e. 153) because I do not always want AirMode on. I also want the option to use AirMode in certain situations. Can I use 153 but then turn on AirMode via switch or, even better, with a Lua script?

Hi @tdempsey,

Yes, Lua includes a rc:run_aux_function(aux_fun, ch_flag) function that should work. I’ve never used it but surely it works.

Hi @rmackay9, thanks for your input. It may have also helped if I had stated that I want to turn AirMode on during an acro flight. To your knowledge, is it possible to switch to AirMode while the pilot is flying in acro without any adverse effects, like the autopilot disarming?
