Aggressive takeoff in Auto Mode Copter 4.5.3

Hello,

Copter Configuration:

  • Frame Type: Quadcopter
  • Propeller Size: 24-inch
  • Takeoff Weight: 11.5 kg

I am experiencing an issue with my quadcopter during auto mode takeoff. Specifically, the drone takes off aggressively in auto mode, while manual takeoff in loiter mode seem to perform a little aggressive as expected.

During auto mode takeoff, the velocity z spikes to 7 m/s, even though I have set a limit of 1.5 m/s (150 cm/s). Additionally, the drone exhibits a violent pitch and roll of approximately 30 degrees during the auto mode takeoff.

I have attached the complete log file for your reference. It includes all manual takeoff attempts, and the last entry corresponds to the problematic auto mode takeoff.

Could you please help me identify the cause of this issue?

Also the log file did not close even I have set the param LOG_FILE_DSRMROT=1, please tell me which other parameter I need to change for this issue.

Regards

Try slowing down the takeoff slew time. I would recomend trying:

TKOFF_SLEW_TIME 8

You can also reduce the maximum takeoff throttle. Given your low hover throttle you could go as low as:
TKOFF_THR_MAX 0.125

Let me know how that goes. I would suggest you only change one parameter at a time.
