Adding new hardware target for FPV drone board (Pilotix)

Hello,

My name is Ruslan, and I represent Partizan Security s.r.o. We produce hardware under the Pilotix brand — specifically an FPV drone flight controller board — and we’re interested in adding a corresponding hardware target to the ArduPilot (ArduCopter) repository on GitHub.

Could you please advise on the following:

  1. What are the required steps to add a new hardware target for an FPV board (file structure, hwdef, build configuration)?
  2. Is there a checklist or set of requirements to pass maintainer review?
  3. Should we open an issue/RFC on GitHub before submitting a PR?
  4. Is there someone on the team who could help guide us through this process in more detail?
