Accessing the Command Line Interface

I’m trying to access the command line to communicate with the pixhawk. I have already seen what the wiki has to say about this here, but this isn’t working for me. When I go to the terminal and connect via usb I see a bunch of output like this: þD!z½"þE¢½"þG¾"þI¾"þK!Î¾"þL, but no place for me to type commands, pressing ‘enter’ three times doesn’t seem to do anything no matter where I click.

I am using APM Planner v2.0.10 for Mac OSX
Any help is appreciated

I have experienced the same before, please hit connect during the first 30 seconds after you power the pixhawk.

I tested with AC 3.2rc3 and is working but sometimes needed to try 2 or 3 times.
