6S Voltage Failsafe VAlue Confirmation

I was able to perform a short flight test of the recent F.C. upgrade on my Tarot 650 Sport. Takeoff was fine and I was able to briefly exercise yaw and roll control, but there was excessive vibration and the copter began to land after just under a minute. After going home, I checked the Low Battery value: 21.6V and Reserved MAH: 0. My 6S 10000mAH lipo was charged to 22.2V. It was clear from the dataflash log that I hit the voltage faiilsafe immediately after takeoff.

I conducted an internet search for what voltage a fully charged 6D lipo should be and Mr. Google responded with 4.2V per cell. So, a 6S lipo @ 4.2/cell => 25.2V. So, I’m thinking that I should leave the LOW_BATTERY value at 21.6V and set the RESERVED_MAH to 2000 (20% of the pack capacity. I just want to confirm these values with the experts here.

Also, I’m wondering if the vibrations could anything have to do with me flying with such low voltage and if a full charge might mitigate this problem. If not, I may have to retire this aircraft as I’ve run out of ideas. It has been extremely windy and cold here in Northern Colorado but tomorrow looks promising for a subsequent test flight. I’m hoping to get confirmation or advice before then. Thanks in advance!

Better check that charger. As you discovered that’s not a full charge.21.6V/2000mah is OK. It will likely hit the low voltage limit 1st at that.

Unlikely. More likely is it’s untuned. Post a link to a flight log and let’s see by how much.

Friday is a promising day to fly, so I will try again and send the log.
