24" Hexa // AltHold // Hard Braking after GPS GLITCH

Hello!

Our copter suddenly oscillate hard on nick during a fast flight. What is happened here?

Fast Flight Begins -> YAW drift slowly (Pilot corrected it) -> Copter oscillated on Pitch ( like a Hard Braking Manouver) for 5 seconds until it hovers normal - than bring it slowly and carefully back and yaw twitches a couple of times 10 degrees.

EKF IMU Ground Mag Anomaly and EKF Glitch if the flight began… mhh… VERY STRANGE

Maybe it has to do with the compass inconsistent ?

FLIGHT MODE: ALTHOLD

Hard acceleration (higher current) -> compass inconsistent during higher current (GPS and Compass dont fly in the same direction -> EKF Glitch was detected through different direction (current related)-> and then ekf kicked in and a short movement going through the copter and it has began to oscillate because of that.

Sound that possible?

but sounds like you’ve solved it yourself, high current is throwing off the compasses… bad compasses will definitely destroy the EKF and it’s ability to fly

Can anyone confirm that the low PIDs are due to the oscillating fault? :smiley:
