Prefetching Terrain data on SD Card - Terrain Following with Tower App

Hello Folks,

I´m just coming back from first test flights with Terrain Follow AC 3.4.4 and would like to share my experiences and thoughts with you:

  • If uploading the Auto Mission via MP and “Terrain activated”, the copter flies as supposed (relative to ground)

  • If uploading the same Mission via Tower App, there is obviously no Terrain following.

This leads to the following questions:

  • Is it possible to have Terrain following on Auto Mission when Controlling via Tower App (the Terrain data can be found on my SD Card)?

  • Is it possible to prefetch Terrain data on SD-Card for a complete region?
