Autonomous Skid Steering Not Working

I am using Rover 3.1.2 with skid steering. It works well with the RC controller, but it fails to reach way points autonomously.

The compass is preforming well and it has a good GPS fix, but it does not drive to the specified point. When given a point in front of it it consistently drives backwards and turns slightly for about 10 seconds, then it stops and starts rocking back and forth.

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

A log file would be helpful.

Try driving the rover in STEERING mode and see what happens. that mode uses the same code as the autopilot code so if you find problems in STEERING mode they can be easier to diagnose and fix.

Thanks for the reply. I found steering mode and tested it there.

It turns out that the driver board documentation had an issue and one of the motors ports was reversed.
